The continuous present tense

ચાલુ વર્તમાનકાળ ના ઉપયોગ:

· કથન કરનાર કથન કરતો હોય તે વખતે ક્રિયા ચાલુ હોય તો તે દર્શાવા માટે ચાલુ વર્તમાનકાળ વપરાય છે.

· ભવિષ્ય ની ઈચ્છા દાર્શાવે છે.

EX. I am reading the Gujarat samachar.

હું ગુજરાત સમાચાર વાચી રહ્યો છું.

· નજીક ના ભવિષ્ય માં નિશ્વિત કરવા ધરેલ ક્રિયા દર્શાવા માટે ચાલુ વર્તમાન કાળ વપરાય છે.

EX. Chief minister is coming hear tomorrow.

મુખ્ય મંત્રી આવતા અઠવાડિયે અહી આવી રહ્યા છે.

· ધીરી ગતિ એ થતો સુધારો દર્શાવા ચાલુ વર્તમાન કાળ વપરાય છે,

EX. The gypsies (ઉધમી) are becoming industrious.

તે ઉધમી બની રહ્યો છે.

· કોઈ ટેવ / કુટેવ અણગમો કે વર્તમાન પ્રત્યે ની નાખુશી દર્શાવા માટે ચાલુ વર્તમાનકાળ વપરાય છે.

EX. Both the neighbors are always quarrelling.

બંને પડોસી હમેશા જઘડીયા કરે છે.

અન્ય શબ્દો : now, always ,at this time , at this moment ,

Active voice વાક્યરચના:

હકાર :

કર્તા+ am / is / are +ક્રિયાપદ નું ing વાળું રૂપ + કર્મ + અન્ય શબ્દ.

નકાર :

કર્તા+ am / is / are +not + ક્રિયાપદ નું ing વાળું + કર્મ + અન્ય શબ્દ.

પ્રશ્નાર્થ :

Am / is / are + કર્તા + ક્રિયાપદ નું ing વાળું + કર્મ + અન્ય શબ્દ + ?

Ex. 1.

Ø The cow is grazing in the green field.

Ø The cow is not grazing in the green field.

Ø Is the cow grazing in the green field ?

Ex. 2.

Ø These boys are swimming in the pond.

Ø These boys are not swimming in the pond.

Ø Are these boys swimming in the pond?
